Dmitry Peshkov announced yesterday, Wednesday, that the interview given almost every June – an exception was 2020 due to a pandemic – will be “delayed” without giving an explanation for the reason, nor to specify the time to which he is being transferred.
New fire in health scenarios of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, puts the news of the postponement of a marathon live TV interview he gives almost every year, during which he answers dozens of questions sent by Russian citizens.
The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkovannounced yesterday, Wednesday, that the interview given almost every June – one exception was 2020 due to a pandemic – will be “delayed” without giving an explanation for the reasonnor to specify the time to which it is transferred.
Asked by reporters, Peshkov only said that the interview would not be given earlier than July, according to the Russian state news agency TASS.
The postponement has given new food to the scenarios that have long seen the light of day on the state of health of Vladimir Putin.
According to Newsweek, the Russian president has been giving his annual interview every year since 2001, except for three years since it began.
Peshkov was asked if Putin would talk to residents of the Donbas area during the live interview, and told reporters that was not the case.
Donbass is currently the scene of intense clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces.
“There can be no live chat this month. “Consequently, the second part of what you said cannot happen either,” Peshkov said, referring to a question about Donbass residents.
Peshkov also said that the timetable “has not been set yet”, but that “routine preparations are underway”.
“Both technically and substantively. This is a very complex, massive event. “Therefore, routine preparations are under way, but it will enter the final stage after the deadlines are set,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
