Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s spokesman says London is deeply concerned about the death sentences imposed on the two Britons
The wrath of London caused the death sentences imposed on two Britons by a court in the Russian-backed so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic”
British Foreign Secretary Liz Tras condemned the death sentences on Thursday, calling them a “parody decision”.
“I fully condemn the sentence by Eden Aslin and Sean Piner“, who are being held by Russian proxies in eastern Ukraine,” he wrote on Twitter. “They are prisoners of war. “This is a false court decision with absolutely no legitimacy.”

For his part, the representative of the Prime Minister Boris Johnson said London was deeply concerned about the death sentences handed down to the two Britons, noting that it would work to secure their release.
“It simply came to our notice then for this. “We have repeatedly stated that prisoners of war should not be exploited for political purposes,” he told reporters.
“Under the Geneva Convention, prisoners of war are entitled to the immunity of a soldier and should not be prosecuted for engaging in hostilities. “Therefore, we will continue to work with the Ukrainian authorities to secure the release of any British nationals who have served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and are being held as prisoners of war.”
I utterly condemn the sentencing of Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner held by Russian proxies in eastern Ukraine.
They are prisoners of war. This is a sham judgment with absolutely no legitimacy.
My thoughts are with the families. We continue to do everything we can to support them.
