Digital work card from June 2023 will be valid in the sectors of tourism, catering, security companies, but also in insurance companies, as announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakisat the 10th RGC Regional Conference held in Patras.

“It is a measure of revolution,” the minister stressed, as he said, employers will stop working to the detriment of employees and declare 8 hours to 4 hours.

As he explained, the work card will bring labor justice again, as working time, overtime will be recorded, while the specific data will be “digitally” stored for ten years. He also reiterated that an increase in the main pensions is expected from 2023, while he did not fail to emphasize the 7% increases seen by retirees under the Vroutsis law, the increases for working retirees, but also the benefits given to low-income retirees at Christmas and Easter. .

For the outstanding pensions, he mentioned that in 2021 they reached 150,000, while now estimated at 60,000. “Now we will run until the summer so that the auxiliaries can take their turn,” he said characteristically.

Closing his speech at the RGC conference in Patras, Mr. Hatzidakis stressed that for at least this year, the three years do not seem to “thaw” as unemployment is not expected to fall below 10%.
