An incredible incident unfolded in Arizonain the USA, where one 9-year-old girl died of lice. Her mother and grandmother have been arrested and charged with murder and neglect of a minor.
As reported by New York Post, the child died of anemia, which was caused by uncontrollable bleeding in his skull, according to medical examiner Gregory Hess. In fact, fluid was found in the girl’s lungs, while before she died she had headaches, vomiting, difficulty breathing and walking, all worrying signs which did not bother the mother and grandmother in any case, resulting in the child losing his life.
Her siblings, who also suffered from severe lice infestations, were taken into custody by relatives, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
The mother told police her 9-year-old daughter had been suffering from anemia and had been ill since March 15 – describing symptoms as vomiting, fever, headache, difficulty breathing and balance problems. She said she had considered taking her daughter to the hospital, but changed her mind when she returned home and found her sleeping.
Police have expressed concern about living conditions in her home family, while describing bugs covering the face of the dead girl.
“After a closer examination it was discovered that there was a huge amount of lice in her hair”they said.

When police checked the mother’s phone, she had texted her friend saying she had to take her daughter to the emergency room.
“Oh my God! Listen, I’m in my room and my mom called me. She asked if I could check on her to make sure she was not dying. “he said in the message.
The friend urged the mother to take the girl to the hospital, but she did not do so, according to the report.
The grandmother of the 9-year-old, who is retired and took care of the children when the mother was at work, sent a message to her daughter earlier that the girl “He can not go to the emergency room, but it’s left to me because you are not home”.
The grandmother also sent a message complaining that the other children did not help and accused her daughter of being more interested in hanging out with her boyfriend than caring for her sick child, KOLD reported.
The mother told investigators that she realized that if she had received medical care for her daughter, she would still be alive.
Authorities charged the two women with child abuse. They were later charged with first-degree murder.
