Kisser Farr, 31, died after a sudden gust of wind blew him out of a restaurant window during a “mini tornado.”
Five people were taken to hospital on Saturday after a strong wind blew through the French coastal town of Villers-sur-Mer.
Forecasters did not expect the wind to be so strong, as video showed sand swirling in the air, tossing chairs and tables.
Thierry Granturco, mayor of Wheeler-sur-Mer, called the wind “violence never before experienced on our beaches.”
The terrible storm lasted 20-25 minutes in Cფte d’Ivoire (known as Flower Beach) between Wistarham and Deauville.
The sudden weather phenomenon was likely caused by a sudden blast of cold air from a British channel.
“It exploded more and more violently and ended up with a mini tornado,” Grand Turk said on Sunday. franceinfo ..
“I contacted the French Meteorological Office because I couldn’t expect this kind of mini tornado.”
He added: “I knew there was a strong wind. They announced in the late afternoon, or even at night, but I didn’t think they would come out of this violence.”
This is not the first time that a mini tornado has hit the country.
According to local governments, three people died in 2008 after one of the cities in northern France was destroyed, houses were destroyed and rubble was thrown in the district.
Some 40 houses were damaged in the border town of Ormon, Belgium.
Three were pulled from the rubble and six were injured.
