Matt Damon has some great supporters for his book on access to safe water, which will be released on March 1.
Former United States President Bill Clinton and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohamed Yunus are among those who wrote an eulogy for “The Worth of Water,” in which Oscar-winning actor and director worked with civil and environmental engineer Gary Wy.
Damon visited Zambia in 2006 and together with White founded the nonprofits Water.org and WaterEquity.
Damon and White met at a Clinton World Initiative rally in 2008, according to the AP.
“We are excited to write this book together and look forward to sharing the story of what happens when a film actor and a civil engineer work together to tackle the global water crisis – obstacles, discoveries and great conquests and their “Incredible people we met along the way,” Damon and White said in a statement.
“Our journey has proven two things: One, that resolving the water crisis is possible – within our lifetime. And two, that the key is to unleash the incredible determination and ingenuity of the people who fight every day for the essentials like safe water and sanitation and sanitation. “
“The Worth of Water is the story of how communities and individuals can be empowered to make long-term investments in their own well-being,” according to Penguin Random House Group Portfolio.
