One of the three 30-year-old defendants, who confessed to the theft committed on the night of January 25-26, 2019, was sentenced to four years in prison, two of which were suspended. The other two were sentenced to three years in prison, but were given an 18-month suspension. Although the prosecutor asked them to stay in prison, they will serve their sentence under house arrest, wearing an electronic bracelet.
In June 2018, Banksy painted a woman in a headscarf at a Bataclan exit where 90 people were killed by armed jihadists seven years ago. The door was stolen six months later and found in 2020 on a farm in Italy.
