Local government Prime Minister Nicolas Stergion told the Hollywood local parliament that the referendum would be an advisory one.

The execution referendum for independence of Scotland from the United Kingdom on October 19, 2023 announced the Prime Minister of the local government Nikola Στέρτζιον.
If the government’s effort succeeds, it will be the second referendum since that of September 2014, when the Scots chose to stay in the United Kingdom at a rate of 55%.
THE Prime Minister of Scotland and leader of the Scottish National Party (SNP) told the Hollywood local parliament that the referendum would be of a consultative nature, meaning that if the independence vote were to be passed, legislation would have to be passed.
He announced the submission of a bill regarding the referendum, with the question being the same as in 2014: “Should Scotland be an independent country?”
Ms Stergion made the announcement despite the fact that the central government of London has not consented to hold a new referendum, as required by law.
As she said, her government has asked the Supreme Court for an opinion on whether the submission of a relevant bill is in accordance with the law, in order to bypass the reaction of London.
He noted that even if the Supreme Court rules in the negative, “The issue will not end, everything else.”
He revealed that he will address a letter to the British Prime Minister today Boris Johnson stating “Ready and willing” to negotiate the terms of the new referendum and seek London’s consent.
But, he added, “What I will never do is allow the Scottish Republic to become a prisoner of Boris Johnson or any British Prime Minister.”
Nicola Sterzion justified her decision to claim and second referendum just nine years after the first saying Scotland “Has paid a price” which is not independent and “Has suffered from London policies”.
He blamed the Westminster government, among other things, for pulling Scotland out of the EU against the will of its citizens and for causing the worst G7 accuracy crisis.
Reacting to the announcement, Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross accused the Prime Minister of once again setting aside the priorities of the people of Scotland to meet a “Selfish obsession” of the SNP.
