A roundup of this week's top news stories, including the Russian bombing of Ukraine, airport riots, Glastonbury and Pride.

It’s news time again (Image: Getty/AP/Reuters)

Happy Saturday to all but those who went to Glastonbury, it still looked like rubbish.

There should be plenty of pride plans, but first, there’s some news.

Never hesitate to play a role that brings existentialism and fear. The old news cycle has come up with some potential war crimes, travel genocide, and a bit of annoying abuse.

But this week, even if one of them (*cough* Glastonbury) sparked an epidemic of FOMO and jealousy, it gave us some cheers.

I sincerely hope that everyone who goes to Glastonbury continues to experience the worst turmoil of life, but I also want to compare it to Monday.

Have a great pride weekend!

But before we get into that fun, here’s a recap of the week’s biggest story.

Russia bombed a Ukrainian shopping center

Russia has launched a missile attack on a shopping center in the city of Kremenchuk, which had more than 1,000 civilians.

Moscow’s Defense Department said the mall was “not working” and burned only because shelling from nearby ammunition caused a secondary fire that spread.

However, some videos taken before the blast, including verified footage, show shoppers walking and operating normally.

Putin’s deputy ambassador to the UN also said the entire tragedy was “fake” or “realised”.

CCTV footage shows that one missile hit a shopping mall and another hit a factory elsewhere.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said: “There is no point in expecting dignity and humanity from them.”

The attack came as the G7 countries held a summit meeting in Germany and pledged to phase out Russian oil in a “timely and orderly” manner to give the world time to secure alternative supplies.

At the time, Boris Johnson and his colleagues were mocking Putin’s shirtless photo.

“We’re going to show bare-chested equestrians,” said Canada’s Justin Trudeau.

Johnson said: We have to show them our pecs. “

TL; DR: That’s all Putin needs to understand his senses.

Ghislaine Maxwell arrested 20 years

Jeffrey Epstein’s girlfriend will spend 20 years behind the bar to traffic a girl to a convicted pedophile.

A 60-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday after claiming he was also a victim of Epstein’s abuse.

He also said he hoped his “harsh trial” would bring “joy” to the victims.

“For those who have not spoken here today, this day can help you move from darkness to light,” he added.

A federal district judge has recommended incarceration at the unsafe Alison Nathan Federal Correctional Center in Danbury, Connecticut, near New York.

Maxwell’s legal team asked Judge Nathan to send him to Danbury, a prison known for its relative comfort.

It previously housed other famous inmates, including singer Lauryn Hill, and Orange housed New Black writer Piper Kerman.

Danbury has 1,000 inmates in separate male and female prisons, and offers a variety of hobby and fitness programs for inmates.

Maxwell is currently in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center. He says that he was exposed to excessive searches, abuse by prison guards and a cell full of mice.

TL; DR: Goodbye and good idiot.

Shaking at the airport-still

There is no end to the absolute craze of traveling to or from a UK airport.

The industry has laid off too many workers during the Covid pandemic, and now airports and airlines can’t keep up with the growing demand.

Most recently, Tui’s flight was canceled more than two hours after passengers had already boarded the plane.

The flight from Cardiff to Dalaman, Turkey, was originally scheduled to take off at 6 p.m. Monday, but travelers say the gate didn’t open until 8:45 p.m.

After waiting 45 minutes on the tarmac, staff allegedly told them to delay takeoff before touching the drunken passengers.

One woman was told to wear her seatbelt at 10 p.m. and said the plane didn’t take off until midnight.

However, the plane circled the runway and passengers were told the flight had been cancelled.

A tourist has collected his belongings and used a wheelchair to pretend to skip a two-hour procession at a Turkish airport.

Wolf Jenkins, 28, filmed an airport staff member rubbing his allegedly “sprained” ankle while shuffling around without socks or shoes.

“I forged a sore leg to get through security faster and fly from Ibiza,” he writes. “It’s amazing what you can do with just one sock.”

Needless to say, many who saw Wolff’s antics on social media were shocked, adding that he should be ashamed of himself.

One woman said: Wheelchair users are coming. “

Glastonbury

Close to 200,000 people visited Glastonbury this year and had a great line-up of Sir Paul McCartney, the Sugababes and Diana Ross.

On the last Sunday holiday, Kendrick Lamar completed a spectacular event.

The rapper was one of several artists who used the platform to blame the US Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade and ending the constitutional right to abortion.

Lord yelled “The Supreme Court” during Sunday’s performance, and Billie Eilish said it was “a very, very dark day for American women” as she came out the day the news was reported.

On Saturday, Supreme Court Olivia Rodrigo and Lily Allen also covered the iconic song “f**k you.”

Organizers called this year’s festival “more than anything else.”

The BBC has revealed that coverage of Glastonbury 2022 on the digital platform has reached a record 34.1 million on BBC iPlayer and 2.3 million on BBC Sounds.

On the other hand, BBC iPlayer had a whopping 23 million live streams. This is the best brand of BBC programs.

Cleanup work on the site has begun to return from Popup City to Somerset Dairy.

TL; DR: No, you’re jealous.
