If convicted, Robert Crimmo, 21, faces life in prison without the possibility of parole, said Lake County District Attorney Eric Rinehart.
The suspect in the massacre during the American National Day parade in the city of Highland Park (Illinois) was charged yesterday with seven murders, announced the attorney general of Lake County, north of Chicago.
If convicted, Robert Crimmo, 21, faces life in prison without the possibility of parole, said Lake County District Attorney Eric Rinehart. “These are only the first of many accusations against Mr. Krimo,” he added during a press conference.
The young man is accused of opening fire with a “powerful” rifle from the roof of a shopping mall on a crowd of people watching a student parade, turning America’s Independence Day into a national tragedy.
“Bobby” Krimo will remain in custody without the possibility of parole, the prosecutor added. His first court appearance will take place later today.
