Several shootings were recorded in the city of Langley, Canada, on Monday (25), said police, which has not yet released figures for deaths or injuries. One person was arrested.
Authorities issued an emergency alert in the region, located in the province of British Columbia, urging residents to move away from areas where shootings were reported.
According to a police spokeswoman, the victims were homeless people and, for now, the attacks are believed to have been targeted.
It is not yet known whether the arrested suspect is the only one potentially involved.
