In a new provocative action, the Ministry of Defense of Turkey claims that the Greek authorities pushed a group of migrants towards the Turkish coast, who were heading to the island of Rhodes.
As the Turkish Ministry of Defense reports in a post on Twitter, the migrants were pushed into Turkish territorial waters south of Marmariswhere they were rescued from the Turkish Coast Guard.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of National Defense (MSB), the inflatable boat carrying irregular migrants was pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements and the incident was recorded by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Turkish Navy. In the announcement of the Ministry, it is stated that “as established by a UAV of our Navy, the rubber boat containing irregular migrants was transported from the direction of Rhodes on July 24, 2022 by the vessel of the Hellenic Coast Guard and pushed to Turkish territory, south of Bozburun in Marmaris ».
