THE Estonia announced today that it will prevent Russian nationals from obtaining temporary residence permits or study visas in the country.

“If sanctions help end Russian aggression, it will have a positive effect on our own security”he added.
The Estonian government also said that short-term employment of Russian and Belarusian citizens with legal residence permits issued by another EU member state will no longer be allowed.
Reinsalu stressed that the additional measure is intended to ensure that the Russians and Belarusians citizens would not be able to circumvent the sanctions by obtaining a short-term visa for another country.
Belarus, his ally Kremlinfacilitated Russia’s invasion of Ukraine by allowing Russian troops to attack from its territory.
