One of the dancers suffered neck injuries and is in serious condition in intensive care, while the other is in a stable condition
A giant screen fell and injured two dancers in front of shocked fans at a concert by popular band Mirror in Hong Kong.
The video screen slammed into one dancer and then fell onto others, footage circulating online shows.
The concert was immediately halted and the band’s manager asked the audience to exit the arena in an orderly fashion.
Hong Kong police confirmed to local media that two dancers are in hospital, while the hospital where they were treated said one of them suffered neck injuries and is hospitalized in serious condition in the intensive care unit, while the other is in stable condition, reports South China Morning. The injured have not been named.
The city government ordered the rest of the tour to be put on hold until security checks are carried out at the other concert venues while the incident is investigated.
The group is extremely popular in the city and is often credited with reviving Cantopop – Hong Kong’s genre of pop music. Its members are some of the most recognizable figures in Hong Kong today. The band was formed in 2018 and has been very successful ever since, with fans all over Asia.
