Husband filed for restraining order and divorce.
A dermatologist from Southern California was arrested last week for allegedly she poisoned her husbandwho set up a Hidden Cam to catch her “in the act”, as reported by the police.
Yue Yu, 45, who owns a practice in Mission Viejo, was arrested Thursday after officers executed a search warrant at the couple’s $2.5 million Irvine mansion.
Yu’s 53-year-old husband, Jack Chen, told police that he was suffering from an unexplained illness for about a month.
“His condition was getting worse and worse and based on his routine he looked at what could have caused the problem. He became suspicious of his wife and installed a hidden camera that captured her poisoning him,” said police Lt. Bill Bingham.
Yu’s husband of 10 years – who turned the evidence over to authorities – “suffered significant internal injuries”but is expected to recover, police said.
Yu, whose bond was set at $30,000, was released late Friday.
Her husband filed for a restraining order in Orange County, claiming he was a victim of domestic violence, and a hearing was set for Aug. 18. He also filed for divorce.
The couple have been married since July 2012 and have two children, aged 7 and 8.
