A little mess for President Biden, a big viral for the internet
Handshakes, especially when you have to do them with a lot of people in return, can be really confusing.
That’s what one might well say watching the new video that shows US President Joe Biden again waiting with his hand outstretched in the air for a handshake that never came.
The incident, which is making the rounds on the internet, happened yesterday Tuesday during an event in which US Senator and Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is preparing to take the stage to deliver a speech, having previously shaken hands with both President Biden as well as the rest of the attendees, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.

However, President Biden, with his body posture, seems to be waiting for the handshake again, having extended his hand relatively and even looking a bit puzzled.
It is recalled that a similar incident occurred in a speech by the President of the USA in April 2022 with the president finishing his speech and turning to shake hands in the void.
Notably, Biden had just finished his nearly 40-minute speech at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University in Greensboro when he turned to the right of the stage, his hand outstretched in a handshake toward…nowhere.
