Shock in the music scene. The 65-year-old Canadian guitarist Gord Lewis was found dead at his home in Hamilton, Ontario on Sunday after allegedly being murdered by his own son.

The rocker’s 41-year-old son, Jonathan Lewis, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, while the Hamilton Police Department continues to investigate.

The body of the founding member of the punk rock band Teenage Head has been discovered by the police.

Speaking at a news conference Monday, Hamilton Detective Sarah Beck said police are not looking for additional suspects. “We continue to look for witnesses and check video in the area,” he added.

“Jonathan was arrested shortly after police arrived at the apartment building,” Hamilton Detective Sergeant Sarah Beck said.

The band announced the news of the guitarist’s death Teenage Head through the band’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts.

“We are devastated and still trying to process the loss of our friend, colleague and brother Gord Lewis. Our hearts go out to his family and all who knew and loved him. Gord was a strength and inspiration to many. He was taken from us too early,” the post read.

Teenage Head formed in 1975 and had a big hit starting in Canada, with songs like ‘Let’s Shake’ and ‘Some Kinda Fun’.
