Russia’s defense minister has hinted that the Kremlin believes Ukrainian military operations are planned by the United States and Britain

Russia has no need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said during his speech at an “international security conference” in Moscow.

Shoigu also hinted that the Kremlin believes that Ukrainian military operations are planned by the United States and Britain and that NATO has increased the deployment of military forces in eastern and central Europe several times.

Referring to the AUKUS partnership scheme of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, the Russian Defense Minister said it could potentially develop into a “civil-military alliance”.

Regarding the New START Treaty, Shoigu said that the talks on its extension are a “two-way street” and that the situation is not “easy”.
