A fire on a railway bridge in Southwark has been brought under control central london, which forced the suspension of train services in the area and the evacuation of some buildings, the London Fire Service announced. Another three fire crews are at the London Bridge tube station where it appeared for the moment that there is a second source of fire as reported by the BBC. London’s fire service has confirmed that smoke billowing from a platform at a tube station was ultimately caused by a fire on a railway bridge.
What happened earlier
Video footage posted by the fire department on Twitter showed smoke billowing from the road under the railway bridge, which had some vehicles on it and was engulfed in flames. Southwark and London Bridge train stations were closed.

“There is a lot of smoke from the fire and those who live or work in the area are advised to keep their windows and doors closed,” Fire Station Commander Wayne Johnson said in a statement posted on the fire department’s website.
The fires have also affected trains on the Jubilee line of the London Underground.
