A federal judge has revealed that former President Donald Trump has granted a request from a “special master” to investigate documents the FBI seized from his Mar-a-Lago home.

District Judge Ailey Cannon’s ruling on Monday was a victory for Trump, with his attorney asking a third party to review the material.

“Given Plaintiff’s prior status as President of the United States, the stigma attached to subject seizure is in a league of its own,” Trump-appointed Cannon wrote.

“Future prosecutions based on property return would clearly cause reputational damage on a different scale.”
