The only surviving son of a woman accused of murdering two boys has been charged with sexual abuse.
Colby Jordan Ryan was accused of raping his wife when she went to watch television at their home in Mesa, Arizona.
They kiss and he forces her even though she says she doesn’t want to have sex.
Then he said “sorry” and started crying.
The next day, the victim called Ryan and recorded a conversation in which he allegedly admitted to continuing to have sex with her despite her asking him to stop.
Ryan is being held in the Maricopa County Jail on $10,000 bond.
Her mother, Lori Wallow, and her husband, Chad Daybell, were charged with murder and conspiracy after murdering her brother and sister Joshua, 6, and Tyree, 17, in 2020.
They were found dead in their mother’s backyard in Idaho.
The couple fled, but two months later they were arrested in Hawaii and also charged with murder in the death of Daibel’s wife, Tami.
Wallow pleaded not guilty to the charges in April. He had previously been in a psychiatric hospital after being declared mentally incompetent to stand trial.
He was released after “regaining his ability” after being treated at a facility earlier this year. He and Deibel will be tried together early next year.
In May, prosecutors announced that they would seek the death penalty for the couple.
