Israeli defense minister unveils map of military facilities identified by Tel Aviv as producing weapons for Tehran

Israel’s defense minister Benny Gantz said today that Iran has used more than 10 military facilities in Syria to produce advanced missiles and weapons for its allies.

For many years Israel has been launching attacks against targets in Syria linked to Iran, as he claims.

Speaking at a press conference in New York, Gantz presented a map of what he said were military facilities of the Center for Scientific Studies and Research (CERS), a Syrian government agency involved in the production of weapons and missiles for Iran.

“Iran has turned CERS into a production facility for medium- and long-range missiles and precision weapons, which are supplied to Hezbollah and Iran’s allies. In other words, it has become yet another Iranian front – a factory for advanced, strategic weapons,” the Israeli minister stressed.

Lately, strikes attributed to Israel have increased against Syrian airfields aimed at disrupting Tehran’s use of airlifts to supply weapons to its allies in Syria and Lebanon, including Hezbollah, diplomatic and security sources have said. of Intelligence at Reuters.

Israeli strikes have repeatedly targeted the Masyaf area in the western province of Hama, where, according to Gantz, there is an underground weapons production facility that threatens Israel and the region.

“Mashyaf in particular is used for the production of advanced missiles,” he explained.

Gantz added that Iran is also working to establish missile and weapons production facilities in Lebanon and Yemen.

“If this trend is not stopped, within a decade there will be advanced Iranian facilities all over the region, producing weapons and sowing terror,” he stressed.
