Akar’s irritation over the Mitsotakis-Macron meeting: Two-faced politics, don’t get into adventures

“There are some politicians in Greece who are increasing the tension for their personal calculations and internal politics” said the Turkish Defense Minister

Ankara showed its irritation with yesterday’s meeting of the prime minister with the French president Emmanuel Macron in Paris, and the strict message that was sent, on Tuesday through the minister of defense Hulusi Akar, speaking of “two-faced and hypocritical policy of Greece”.

“Learn from history. Do not enter into new adventures. Some may say things in your ear. You have seen in history that these are not true. Don’t repeat the same thing. Be awake» said Akar characteristically as broadcast by Manolis Kostidis.

“They are trying to tarnish the image of Turkey. They try to exploit and distort every fact, influence third parties with lies and slander and complain about Turkey in third countries” still supported.

“In this sense, it is not wrong to say that it is followed a truly two-faced policy. There is a hypocritical policy. On the one hand, we insist on dialogue, they act like they understand it and go to answer, but on the other hand, as soon as they are left alone, they continue to complain about Turkey, based on lies and denial, every time they talk to third countries. Don’t they have a mirror in their homes? Let them look in the mirror! Sometimes people look in the mirror and see the truth. And maybe they are ashamed! Maybe they are embarrassed! There cannot be such a two-faced attitude, such hypocrisy.”

Hulusi Akar went so far as to say that “We are very patient. But despite our well-intentioned efforts, unfortunately our neighbor Greece with some provocative actions and statements continues to increase the tension, and we are trying to do everything to prevent this”.

“There are some politicians in Greece who are increasing the tension for their personal calculations and internal politics” he even declared, leaving spikes against Mr. Mitsotakis and ministerial officials.

“They are hiding in Lavrio FETO, PKK/YPG, DAESH, DHKP-C and their hosts. From there they make them go to different countries” claimed the Turkish Minister of Defense, repeating the scenarios for “terrorist training”, despite the repeated and categorical denials of the Greek side.

At the same time, the annoyance, but also the…complaint, perhaps even the anxiety, of the Turkish media about the modernization of the of Greek F-16s in the Viper version as reported by SKAI’s Istanbul correspondent Manolis Kostidis.

“While the US obstructs Turkey, even in the delivery of spare partsthey have already delivered two F-16s, and will deliver another 81,” the Milliet newspaper reports, among others.
