The extreme right “broke” the established pre-election silence in Italy

Matteo Salvini’s League party has decided not to observe today’s customary day of silence ahead of tomorrow’s Italian general election.

“The election campaign of the center-left was characterized by lies, hatred, the will to increase taxes and the landing of immigrants,” the League emphasized, via Instagram, and added:

“Yesterday Leta’s centre-left Democratic Party closed its campaign with a failed rally, in Rome’s People’s Square, in front of a Soviet Union flag. Finally, a small, big truth: it reminds everyone that the party was financed with blood-stained, Russian rubles. Tomorrow the Italians will choose”.

After the League, and the “Brothers of Italy” by Giorgia Meloni, decided to “break” the pre-election silence.

With reference to the same topic of the League’s post, the representative of the “Brothers of Italy” in parliament, Francesco Lollobrigida, underlined:

“Red flags with hammer and sickles at the center-left Enrico Letta’s rally yesterday, with the permission of the Democratic Party, admitted the participants of the demonstration, who enthusiastically held the flags. The regional coordinator of the party, Astore, to deny that he allowed them to be used, in the rally square, the symbols of a bloody and violent dictatorship, which caused millions of deaths around the world”.
