The Turkish president accused the US of not maintaining a fair attitude among NATO member countries – Erdogan publicly and officially admitted that Ankara is spying on the Greek islands with drones
Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave an interview to the CNN Turk channel, immediately after the conclusion of the Security Council of Turkey in which he participated.
As reported by SKAI’s correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, among other things, the Turkish president once again raised the issue of demilitarization of the Greek islands, characteristically saying that Greece “must demilitarize them”.
At the same time, he accused the USA that “it is unacceptable to send so many vehicles from Samos to Lesbos”, while he stated that they do not maintain a fair attitude between NATO member countries.
He stated in detail:
“It is unacceptable for the US to send so many vehicles from Samos to Lesvos. All this was detected by the drones.. Not only did we detect it, but American armored vehicles are being used to threaten us. We say to the US, you will not find an ally like Turkey. We have also warned the USA and Greece. We sent our last letter on September 17 to the UN. Greece must demilitarize the islands. He ignores this issue and avoids meeting. Here, we see that they have closed the international court road. If you are in favor of international law, why do you avoid meeting? According to Lausanne, these parties are subject to special status. There are a total of 9 American bases in Greece. Our expectation from the US is to lead Greece to miscalculations and not to manipulate international public opinion”
