An environmental organization has collected 2,190 paper snowflakes made by children across Canada to put together the largest chain of paper snowflakes in the world.
Guinness World Records, responsible for the Guinness Book of World Records, confirmed that Earth Rangers, a children’s environmental organization, broke the world record when the chain was assembled at the Toronto Zoo and was about 404 meters high.

Earth Rangers has been collecting child-made snowflakes across Canada since June. The children were asked to write on their paper creations their concerns about climate change and their hopes for the future.
“Snowflakes represent a part of the population that deserves to be heard: our children. “While many adults may see the climate crisis as insurmountable, children know this is not an option,” said Tova Barokas, president of Earth Rangers.
“It is vital that they feel optimistic that we can meet any challenge, even one as big as climate change, if we work together.”
