Vladimir Putin turns 70 today, but few leaders wished him well

Russian President Vladimir Putin turns 70 today, but not many leaders wished him well. However, the gifts he received were anything but ordinary. Wishes were sent by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoganthe president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenkothe president of Tajikistan Imomali Rahmon and the leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un.

THE Kim stressed that Putin “made achievements in realizing the great strategic goal of building a strong Russia through your energetic activities, taking on the heavy responsibility of the head of state for many years,” TASS reported. He also noted that Putin “enjoys great respect and support from the broad masses of the world.”

The Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov sent a warm video greeting, noting that Putin played a role in Chechnya for many years and helped liberate the region from terrorism.

The chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin he wrote as a wish to the Russian president: “As long as Putin exists, Russia will exist.”

The unusual gifts

On his birthday, Putin will attend an informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States in St Petersburg, the once imperial capital, in an event designed to show he is not isolated, despite widespread criticism of the war in Ukraine.

Lukashenko showed up in St. Petersburg but first made sure he didn’t go empty-handed. So she offered him a somewhat original gift which was none other than a… tractor. However, the choice of gift is not accidental since tractors have been the pride of the Belarusian industry since the time of the Soviet Union.

The gift certificate of the Belarusian leader for the tractor is rivaled by the gift of the president of Tajikistan, Imomali Rahmon who brought tons of melons and watermelons in a pyramid shape.
