Clashes for 4th week – Arrests, incidents and deaths across the country – Iranian authorities close schools in Kurdish region
Out of bounds indicates that the state is now at Iranas authorities arrest students inside school complexes and close schools in Kurdish areas, while the death toll from both sides of the conflict continues to rise.
As reported by international media, Iranian students were arrested inside school premises on Sunday by security forces who arrived in unmarked trucks, according to social media reports.
Authorities also closed all schools and higher education institutions in Iranian Kurdistan on Sunday, a sign that the state is beginning to lose control after four weeks of protests, which erupted after the killing of Mahsa Amini by members of the morality police.
Footage showed protests in dozens of cities across Iran in the early hours of Sunday, with hundreds of high school girls and students taking part in the incidents, where security forces used tear gas, clubs and, in many cases, live fire, rights groups said. Tehran has denied that live bullets were used, but the dead on both sides are in the dozens.
Two more of the security forces were killed
