Earlier AFP journalists reported that three powerful explosions were heard in the center of Kiev.
The explosions were heard at 8:15 a.m., while warning sirens had sounded several minutes earlier.
An eyewitness told the Reuters news agency that black smoke was seen rising from a building in the city center after an explosion.
