The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Unrecently made headlines for his aggressive behavior following a series of unscheduled missile tests, but social media users this week went “crazy” for another reason: his attire!
Kim broke away from his usual… black attire and donned a white jacket (now that he has slimmed down… ) and a safari-style hat while attending military exercises at an undisclosed location in North Korea.
Social media users were quick to comment on his change in attire, with some comparing the unruly leader to pop culture icons.

A Twitter user posted a GIF of Richard Attenborough from the 1993 film ‘Jurassic Park’ wearing a white shirt and khaki hat. In fact, he wrote in the caption: “Welcome to Jurassic Park.”
Another Twitter user posted an image of Diane Keaton from the 2003 film “Something’s Gotta Give,” where she was also dressed in a white jacket and a white hat.

Kim Jong Un’s renewed wardrobe was not only commented on by social media, but also by American TV shows. A typical example is Jimmy Fallon’s show, in which the popular host mercilessly “trolled” the North Korean leader’s “beach” look, pointing out that he looks like “a beekeeper on his break.”
