“Diplomacy is not possible with leaders who do not respect international law,” he said, speaking at the Council of Europe
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine has only 10% of the air defense systems it needs and ruled out the possibility of diplomatic contacts with Russia.
Speaking at a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Zelensky stressed that diplomacy is not possible with leaders who do not respect international law.
At the same time, Ukrainian president he pointed out that the situation in the areas of Kharkiv province in the eastern part of the country that have been liberated by the Russian army is “just as horrible” as in Irpin and Butsa, where mass graves had been found. Zelensky did not provide further details.
Besides, he estimated that Moscow should be forced to comply with the requests of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to demilitarize the area around the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which is under Russian control.
