Sweden has previously rejected requests by Russian authorities to join the investigations or share any findings.

The Danish Foreign Ministry announced yesterday that “the Russian desire to participate in the investigations of the leaks in the Nord Stream pipelines has been conveyed through diplomatic channels to Moscow and Copenhagen.”

The cause of the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines remains unclear, but European Union countries suspect sabotage, while Russia has described the incidents as “an act of international terrorism” and blamed the West.
