“I wasn’t the only one who thought it was wrong,” Biden told reporters during a stop at an Oregon ice cream parlor on the sidelines of a visit to support Tina Kotek’s bid for state governor.

US President Joe Biden said he was not the only one who considered the initial economic plan of the Trudeau government in Britain “a mistake”, which led to the collapse of sterling.

“I wasn’t the only one who thought it was wrong,” Biden told reporters during a stop at an Oregon ice cream parlor on the sidelines of a visit to support Tina Kotek’s bid for state governor.

Prime Minister Liz Truss’s government made mistakes with its controversial plans for tax cuts that rattled financial markets and led to the ouster of his predecessor Kwazi Kwarteng, Britain’s new Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt admitted on Saturday.
