Regret the election of Tras members of the Conservative Party, poll shows

According to the YouGov poll, 55% of members are in favor of the immediate resignation of Mrs. Tras, while 38% want her to remain in the prime ministership. 83% of polled members have a negative view of her performance in Downing Street so far.

The resignation of Liz Truss is wanted by the majority of registered members of the Conservative Party in Britain, just six weeks after she was promoted to the leadership of the party and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

According to the YouGov poll, 55% of members are in favor of the immediate resignation of Mrs. Tras, while 38% want her to remain in the prime ministership. 83% of polled members have a negative view of her performance in Downing Street so far.

In addition, 60% of members say they would vote for Rishi Sunak if the final round of the internal party process to succeed Boris Johnson were repeated now, compared to 40% who would support Mrs Truss again.

As for the most popular successor to Liz Truss, the party’s base according to the poll would like Boris Johnson back.

The former prime minister leads with 32% in preferences, compared to Rishi Sunak’s 23%, Defense Secretary Ben Wallace’s 10% and Penny Mordant’s 9%.
