Training mission or attack on Ukraine?
The aircraft is believed to have been on a mission to attack Ukraine while there are also claims that the warplane was on a training mission. However, if the second scenario is true it is not clear why it had ammunition that exploded when the aircraft hit the apartment building.
The crew members reportedly ejected after realizing a crash was inevitable and could not fly the plane away from the residential building.
The death toll in the apartment building has reached 15, including three children and three adults who jumped from the burning apartment building after the Russian military jet crashed.
