Fifteen houses of a district Aguascalientesin northern Mexico, was destroyed and 300 families were forced to flee their homes when a tanker exploded after colliding with a train.
“Based on the inspection that was done (…) we have 15 houses completely destroyed”said the mayor of the city, Leonardo Montaniesspeaking to local media.
The traffic accident occurred on Thursday, when the train collided with the tanker carrying fuel. The Governor of Aguascalientes State, Maria Teresa Jimenez, assured that there were no dead or injured.
“Firefighters arrived very quickly on the scene and managed to evacuate around 300 houses” in the Colonia Mexico neighborhood. Of these, 120 have been damaged.

The causes of the accident are being investigated.
