As the new Prime Minister of Britain and leader of the Tories said, this is an “existential threat” for the party.
The new British prime minister called for unity in the Conservative parliamentary group Rishi Sunak, making it clear that the Tories have only one chance to achieve their goals. As he said characteristically, it is about “existential threat” to the party.
In particular, as reported by British journalists, Sunak did not speak much to the Tory MPs, who received him with thunderous applause, while he did not make any statements to the journalists.

In the closed-door meeting after his election as the new leader, Sunak ruled out the possibility announcement of early parliamentary elections, and urged his MPs to stick together after the infighting that has rocked the Conservative party. “We must unite, rally together,” he stressed, promising “a government of the best.”
Congratulations @RishiSunak on being appointed as Leader of the Conservative Party and our next Prime Minister.
You have my full support.

The main priority of his government, he noted, will be the achievement of economic stability and then the implementation of the commitments made by the party before the 2019 elections.
Sunak told MPs he would “focus on policies, not personalities”. He said that “the party has a chance to do well.”

The outgoing prime minister Liz Truss congratulated Sunak on his election as Conservative leader and expressed her “full support” for him in a tweet.
King Charles is expected to accept the resignation of outgoing Prime Minister Liz Truss and appoint her successor on Tuesday in Buckingham.
