Turkish-Libyan agreements: Ankara will train Libyan pilots – It will also provide drones

by

The agreement was signed yesterday in Ankara, where the Prime Minister of the Tripoli government, Abdelhamid Dbeiba, was present.

The two agreements signed yesterday by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and the Prime Minister of the Tripoli government, Abdelhamid Dbeiba, who was in Turkey yesterday, provide for the training of Libyan air force pilots from Turkey and the sending of Turkish drones, among other things, as reported by the correspondent of SKAI, Manolis Kostidis, in Istanbul.

THE first agreement concerns “improving the capabilities of the Libyan air force thanks to Turkish expertise in this field.”

The second agreement “includes several implementing agreements related to the security agreement signed in 2019” by Ankara and the former Tripoli government, at the same time as a controversial agreement on the demarcation of maritime zones, which had drawn the ire of the European Union, Agence France-Presse reports.

Measure lost – Turkey accuses Greece of converting a Muslim complex into a conservatory

Meanwhile, Turkey – which has notably turned Hagia Sophia from a museum into a mosque – is accusing Greece of turning a Muslim complex into a conservatory.

In comparison, the representative of Erdogan’s party, Omer Celik, wrote in a series of tweets: “We condemn the disrespect of the Greek authorities towards spiritual centers, mosques and cemeteries of heroes. Is unacceptable for the Greek authorities to turn the Ottoman legacy into a music conservatory, the Murat Reis complex, which is located on the island of Rhodes and contains a mosque, a dervish house and a cemetery.

The systematic policy of declassification on the part of the Greek authorities towards elements of the Ottoman Turkish heritage is disrespect to the common cultural heritage of humanity. They should be ashamed of the practices aimed at degrading our heroes.

As Turkey, we accepted many Greek Orthodox churches as a common heritage of humanity, repaired them and opened them for pilgrimage.

On the other hand, we see that Greece shows a barbaric approach to the common heritage of humanity and brutally attacks our common cultural heritage.”
