“On October 30, 1958, First Lady Mamie Eisenhower hosted a dinner for the wives of the White House staff. To prepare, she decorated the dining room with seasonally appropriate decor, with skeletons on the wall, pumpkins, and miniature witches with broomsticks on each table. Since then, the White House has celebrated 50 years of Halloween without fail.

The photo album presents how Halloween has been celebrated by different administrations in the past and the present at the White House,” the announcement reads.

Among the photos is one of Clinton’s presidency, dated October 26, 1993.

In it, President Bill and First Lady Hillary have fun at a masquerade party, disguised as President James Madison and First Lady Dolly Madison.
