Attrition of top “green” ministers shows new poll in Germany

Attrition of the two leading “green” ministers of the government, the minister of foreign affairs Analena Burbock and the Minister of Economy Robert Hambeck, and consolidating the party in third place shows a new poll.

According to the newspaper, the reasons for the fall in the opinion polls of Ms. Burbok, who has been consistently in the top positions until now, are “her unclear position” on the delivery of heavy weapons to Ukraine and her statement that “the politics of violence of Iranian mullahs has nothing to do with religion”, which had provoked strong reactions.

On the vote intention question, the Christian Union (CDU/CSU) maintains its lead with 26% (-0.5), the SPD remains at 20.5%, while the Greens rise to 18% (+0.5). The Alternative for Germany (AfD) is stable at 15%, the Liberals (FDP) reach 9% (+0.5), while the Left is again marginally below the electoral threshold, with 4.5%. With these data, the governing coalition would today gather a percentage of 47.5%.
