The Russian paramilitary Wagner organization today opened its first official headquarters in Saint Petersburgin Russia, according to an AFP journalist.
THE Yevgeny Prigozhinwho recently confirmed that he is the founder of the highly secretive organization and that it has deployed its mercenaries in Latin American countries, Africa and Ukraine, had announced the opening of this office on the occasion of National Unity Day in a statement published on Concord’s company website.

Men in coveralls walked through the building’s gray hallways, looking at an exhibit featuring unmanned aerial vehicles.
“The mission of the private military company Wagner Center is to provide a comfortable environment for the birth of new ideas aimed at improving Russia’s defense capability”Prigozhin said in his announcement.
Last month, Yevgeny Prigozhin put an end to years of rumors when he admitted he founded the organization. For years, the Wagner group was viewed with suspicion for the role it played in realizing its ambitions. Moscow abroad, with the Kremlin denying any connection.
The group – and its leader – played an increasingly important role in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last February.
