Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, will have a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Soukri, who will pay a working visit to Cyprus, responding to a relevant invitation.
Messrs. Christodoulidis and Soukri will have a one-on-one meeting and subsequently expanded consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the focus of the consultations is expected to be, among others, the bilateral Cyprus-Egypt relations and their further strengthening, the latest developments in the Middle East. wider Middle East region, the strengthening of regional cooperation, the Cyprus issue, the situation in Libya and the European Union-Egypt relations.
At the end of their consultations, the two ministers will sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus and the Institute of Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Mr. Soukri will also have a meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus N. Anastasiadis.
