The mysterious graffiti artist Banksy has indirectly confirmed that the mural that recently appeared in a suburb of the Ukrainian capital is his.
Yesterday Friday, Banksy posted on his Instagram account photos of graffiti on a destroyed house, with the caption “Borodianka, Ukraine”. Borodyanka is a suburb of Kiev that was relentlessly bombed during the Russian invasion.

The graffiti depicts a girl attempting to stand upright on a wall that is still standing in the bombed house.
After a 15-month silence it would appear Banksy is in Ukraine with new works in Borodyanka and Kiev’s Independence Square. 🇺🇦 pic.twitter.com/RFoWLXHumu

The posting of graffiti images on Banksy’s Instagram account are seen as confirmation by the mysterious artist — whose identity remains unknown — of the work’s authorship.
The world-renowned artist has previously traveled to conflict-ridden areas, including the West Bank.
