The message sent by the President of Serbia to Recep Tayyip Erdogan
A woman from Serbia is among those injured by the explosion in Istanbulsaid Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.
“In today’s explosion in Istanbul, one of our citizens was injured. This is the tourist Dragana Ristic from the city of Nis. He has a shrapnel wound on his shoulder and is in hospital where he is expected to undergo surgery tonight,” Dacic said.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic sent a telegram of condolences to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “Honorable President, dear friend, I received with concern the news of the explosion in which innocent civilians were killed and a large number injured. And while we watch in disbelief the horrifying images that shocked not only the residents of the peaceful and hospitable Istanbul, but also the whole world, we share the sadness with your people,” reads the telegram to Erdogan Aleksandar Vucic.
