The Russian president Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with the Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan, and is scheduled to have another phone call later in the day, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced Friday.

“Putin had a telephone conversation with President Erdogan of Turkey. We will soon publish a statement,” Peskov said.

The Russian president’s spokesman added that President Putin intended to make “another international telephone call” later in the afternoon.

Earlier, as reported by TASS, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kiriski said that the Turkish leader wanted to talk with his Russian counterpart about the issues of delivering food and fertilizers from Russia to countries in need under the grain agreement .

Putin and Erdogan had spoken again by phone on November 1.
