Special “invincible centers” will be set up across Ukraine to provide electricity, heating, water, internet and a pharmacy, free of charge and 24 hours a day, the Ukrainian president said.

Ukrainian authorities have promised shelters with heating and water and urged citizens to conserve energy as winter approaches, while Russian bombing has destroyed much of the country’s energy infrastructure.

Special “invincible centers” will be set up across Ukraine to provide electricity, heating, water, internet and a pharmacy, free of charge and 24 hours a day, the Ukrainian president said. Volodymyr Zelensky in his night sermon.

Because of the Russian attacks power outages occur for long periods, affecting up to 10 million consumers at a time. The operator of the national electricity network pointed out yesterday, Tuesday, that the damage to the electricity production facilities is “colossal”.

“If there are new massive Russian strikes and it is clear that power cannot be restored for hours, the ‘invincible centers’ will be activated with all essential services,” Zelensky explained.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Dennis Smigalhad said this week that about 8,500 generators are imported into the country every day.

Authorities yesterday warned that Ukrainians are likely to live with power outages until at least the end of March.
