Ukraine is going to request an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss Russian attacks on energy production infrastructure, the president announced Volodymyr Zelensky.
“I have instructed our UN Ambassador to call for an urgent UN Security Council meeting following today’s Russian strikes. Killing civilians and destroying political infrastructure are acts of terrorism. Ukraine will continue to demand a decisive response from the world to these crimes.” the Ukrainian president said in a post on Twitter.
“Ukraine will not be afraid of cowardly inhumane terrorist attacks Russian war criminals. Thank you to the US president and the US people for standing with Ukraine and responding with a new presidential package that would allow us to save lives and continue our fight for Ukraine! Together we win!” Zelensky added in a new tweet.
