Heavy police forces remain in the town of Horgos, near the border with Hungary, where armed clashes between migrants took place on Thursday night. Throughout the day yesterday, police searched for migrants involved in the clashes while informal camps along the border were searched for weapons and drugs.
As reported by the police, 800 migrants were removed from the area and taken to camps inside the country. Dozens of traffickers were also arrested in the wider area of ​​Khorgos and in Belgrade. During the clash on Thursday, in Khorgos, four migrants were injured, who are being treated in a hospital in the city of Subotica. Two of them have gunshot wounds and the other two have knife wounds.

Serbian Interior Minister Branislav Gacic, who visited the area, said there would be no tolerance for migrants abusing hospitality, while assuring that the state guarantees the safety of its citizens and will protect their property.
In the area of ​​Horgos, where the so-called Balkan route of migrants ends, many traffickers operate, they often clash with each other, even using firearms, but for the first time last night armed clashes took place in a residential area.
