The Hellenic Initiative’s annual philanthropic gala, one of the largest philanthropic events organized in the Greek-American community, returns for its 10th year.

The annual charity gala of the Hellenic Initiative (THI) returns for the 10th year in New York, which will take place on December 3rd at Cipriani, in the “heart” of Wall Street.

This is one of the largest philanthropic events organized in the Greek-American community, given that the amount collected at last year’s gala managed to exceed 2 million dollars.

At this year’s reception, the managing director of Pfizer, Albert Bourla, will be honored, while the responsibility for the presentation of the event has been assumed by the former president of “Paramount Pictures”, Jimmy Yiannopoulos.

As every year, the event includes a silent auction to help raise donations. Internationally recognized Greek artists and jewelry designers have donated their works for this year’s auction, with many of the items drawing inspiration from the tradition and history of our country.

The funds collected by the organization will be allocated to charitable actions, but also to programs that support the economic recovery of our country.

The Hellenic Initiative was founded in 2012 by prominent members of the Greek diaspora, as a response to the deepening economic crisis in Greece. Its purpose is to mobilize the Greek diaspora and the philhellenic community to support a sustainable economic renewal for Greece and its people.

Since 2012, the Hellenic Initiative has distributed more than 20 million dollars to actions and initiatives within Greece.
