Statements by Dmitry Peskov to the Russian state news agency TASS

In the occupied areas of Donbass (Donetsk, Lugansk) Vladimir Putin is expected to move soon, confirming -and- with his property their attachment to Russian sovereignty.

The announcement was made by the representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov and was broadcast by the Russian news agency TASS.

“It will definitely happen, because it is part of the Russian Federation,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russia’s state-run TASS news agency.

On October 5, Putin signed a decree annexing four Ukrainian regions in violation of international law. The territories “annexed” by Moscow are the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson.

The annexation process, which is illegal under international law, came about after so-called referendums in the regions. The referendums were universally dismissed as “rigged” by Ukraine and Western nations.

Although Kremlin officials claim that these areas now belong to Russia, Moscow’s troops do not control all of these territories.
